History

The Village of Sag Harbor was founded in the early 1700s. By the latter part of that century, it had evolved into a wealthy whaling capital and international port. After the whaling industry period, Sag Harbor became a manufacturing center anchored by the Joseph Fahys & Co. watchcase factory.
